Construction and building services firm Esh Group is sponsoring this year’s Tees Valley Annual Review and AGM, as the company continues to support businesses across the region.

The AGM, held on 26th February, is an opportunity for businesses to find out the latest news in the Chamber and Tees Valley business community in the past 12 months, as well as looking at what is to come in 2019.

Esh Group, which works across the North East, Teesside and Yorkshire, has been at the forefront of developments in the region, with its main delivery arm Esh Construction, delivering in excess of £120m worth of projects in the last three years.

Projects have included the Boho 5 build in Middlesbrough, Middlesbrough College’s STEM Centre, Thirteen Group’s headquarters, Cleveland PCC’s Community Safety Hub and the ongoing Stockton Crematorium development.

Darush Dodds, Head of Corporate Affairs at Esh Group, who will be presenting the company’s approach to construction focused around adding value, said: “Esh understands the importance of procuring local, supporting education and creating employment opportunities. The AGM is a chance for us to further increase our engagement with organisations in the region and grow our supply chain.”

The Group is committed to the regeneration of Teesside and will work closely with its clients to create opportunities for the local community while delivering high quality construction projects. Its Get into STEM scheme has engaged over 10,000 students and the company was awarded the Queen’s Award for Social Mobility in 2018.

As well as this, 27 percent of its workforce are employed from Darlington and Teesside and almost all the materials and labour utilised on its sites comes from within 25 miles of each project. There are also 26 apprentices on the company’s books from Teesside.

It’s fantastic that a leading local company such as Esh Group has sponsored our event. The Group has already proven its commitment to the area through previous projects, its drive to employ locally, and its involvement with education across the region. We look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come.”
