Construction is 'What We Do'
Constructing Local
defines ‘Who We Are’

Stroke 1

We work with our clients and their communities to ensure measurable social and economic value is delivered in conjunction with every project.

Our ‘Constructing Local’ delivery framework of 30 programmes is set across 6 themed ‘E’s. We are proud of our ‘E’s, what they stand for and what they deliver; they set us apart from our competition and represent one of the most comprehensive social value offers in the construction industry.

Employment

We prioritise the employment of local people and have a range of interventions which allow us to upskill and reskill people from all backgrounds. We are firmly committed to training apprentices, supporting our Armed Forces community and providing opportunities for those furthest from the job market.

Programmes

Education

We deliver award winning education programmes which inspire the workforce of the future, change outdated perceptions of the construction sector, introduce students to relatable positive role models, develop transferable employability skills and share the diverse range of rewarding careers the construction sector has to offer.

Programmes

Engagement

We are committed to our clients and their communities, delivering meaningful engagement which makes a real difference to local people. We work collaboratively to provide grant and volunteering support, keep residents safe and informed, and reduce anti-social behaviour.

Programmes

Economy

We support local economies by maintaining strong relationships with local subcontractors and suppliers – every scheme we deliver provides an opportunity to support local businesses.

Programmes

Employees

Our employees and supply chain partners are our most valuable assets. We provide comprehensive training, mental health, wellbeing, and safety support to ensure a happy, engaged and productive workforce.

Programmes

Even Greener

We are committed to achieving Net Zero emissions by 2040 by taking achievable steps towards an Even Greener operating model.
