Esh Construction to deliver £746k Karbon Homes maintenance contract

Esh is set to commence work on over 80 properties spanning Northumberland to North Yorkshire.

Over 80 homes will benefit from modern interior upgrades and improvement works as Karbon Homes appoints Esh Construction to deliver a programme of planned maintenance.

In a contract worth £746,000, properties located in Northumberland, Newcastle, County Durham, Tees Valley, and North Yorkshire will receive kitchen and bathroom replacements, and full electrical re-wires.

The scheme was procured via the Prosper Framework and work is set to commence in the coming weeks.

Andrew Harrow, Commercial Manager at Esh Construction, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Karbon Homes on their latest investment programme to maintain and improve existing homes.

“The delivery of internal refurbishment and maintenance was significantly impacted due to the pandemic and the team continues to work hard to manage the additional challenges faced. We look forward to getting work underway safely in the coming weeks.”

Karbon Homes announced a major programme of planned maintenance across its 30,000-strong housing stock earlier this year. David Milburn, Head of Investment at Karbon Homes, said: “At Karbon, we are committed to improving the lives of our customers and by investing in our existing homes, we are ensuring they are modern and good quality.

“We have partnered with Esh on a number of contracts who have always delivered to a very high standard and we are looking forward to seeing this latest investment programme being successfully delivered across our homes in the North and Yorkshire.”

Rod Brasington, Chief Executive of Prosper, added: “We are delighted that Esh have been appointed by Karbon to undertake these important works which will benefit communities across the North East of England.”
