Reactive and Planned Maintenance, Northumberland and Tyne & Wear
Originally acquired in 1994, we successfully managed to re-secure the contract on five separate occasions through competitive tendering. The contract involves 24/7 365 Reactive Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Minor Works and Projects over multiple trade disciplines made up of Building Fabric, Mechanical, Electrical and Statutory Compliance testing.
As part of the statutory compliance currently undertaken on behalf of Northumbria Police, this includes the following items:
- Gas appliance servicing & certification.
- Oil fired appliance servicing & certification.
- Water hygiene monitoring.
- Air conditioning
- Fixed Wiring Inspection & testing.
- Portable appliance testing.
- Fire alarms.
- Emergency lighting.
Reactive Maintenance including asbestos control, brickwork, decoration, drainage, fencing, flooring, glazing, ground works, joinery, plastering, pest control, plumbing, roofing, scaffolding, suspended ceilings and tiling.
Planned and Reactive Maintenance including boilers, heating systems, air conditioning, air handling units, ventilation systems and water hygiene.
Planned and Reactive maintenance including fire alarms, emergency lighting, building management systems, fixed wire testing and PAT testing.
Numerous minor works have been completed including boiler replacements, external drainage, internal and external decorations, upgrading of police cells, office and kitchen refurbishments, and road re-surfacing.
The largest project to date valued at £250K involving the complete refurbishment of Northumbria Police’s Chief Constable’s office block which included suspended ceilings, re-wiring, decoration and floor coverings
This contract services over 300 Northumbria Police Authority properties across Northumberland and Tyne & Wear. Properties vary in size and function including Northumbria Police HQ in Ponteland, Area Command Centres in Northumberland, North Tyneside, South Tyneside, Newcastle, Gateshead and Sunderland, Fleet Management Centre in Killingworth, Police Stations, Police Houses, Police Workshops, Air Support Unit and Special Units.
