Esh Construction secures place on EN:Procure Framework

Esh has been appointed to Lots 2, 3 and 4 for new build housing contracts through new Efficiency North framework.

A leading framework provider for new build housing across Yorkshire and the Humber has appointed Esh Construction to its newest framework agreement.

The Gen-4 framework, managed by Efficiency North, is designed for local authorities and public sector organisations to procure housing contracts, predominantly social housing developments.

Esh Construction’s affordable housing division has been successful on Lots 2, 3 and 4, which include schemes of between 8-45 units, 30-100 units and schemes of 70 units and over in Yorkshire and the Humber. The lots run from March 4, 2024 to March 3, 2028 and include the new build construction of residential buildings.

Zoe Cowell, Business Development Manager at Esh Construction, said: “The Efficiency North framework facilitates early contractor involvement and encourages a partnership approach to projects. This allows us to work collaboratively with clients to progress a project to site and ultimately enables us to deliver more much needed affordable homes across the region.”

Since securing a place on the Efficiency North framework in 2019 Esh has delivered a number of key housing developments across the Yorkshire region. Due to complete in early 2024, the 106-home development in the Beech Hill area of Halifax is being delivered on behalf of Together Housing Group.

Two completed schemes procured via Efficiency North include the re-development of two sites which were formerly home to independent living accommodation for older people in Wakefield, to provide 38 new affordable homes. The developments known as Greenhill Road and Colin Barnaby Court were delivered on behalf of WDH in a combined investment of £5.5 million.

Working with Beyond Housing a further 128 affordable homes are also being delivered in Hummersea Hills, Loftus, with the homes comprising one, two, three and four-bedroom houses, one and two-bedroom apartments and one, two and three-bedroom bungalows.

The new framework was procured under EN:Procure’s latest Gen-4 generation of tenders, incorporating the FAC-1 Framework Agreement and dynamic models for ESG delivery. It will provide a wide range of social, economic and environmental benefits for communities.
