Creating and sustaining a strong, confident business community is essential to economic success and Esh Group is actively engaged in The Chamber’s action on procurement, transport, economic growth, housing and planning. We have been a member since Summer 2018 and became a Patron member in 2019, coinciding with the growth of our Yorkshire operations.
Esh Group and Business in the Community (BITC) share the belief that prosperity of business and society is inextricably linked. Through BITC, we collaborate with other businesses, supporting a greater collective impact upon key issues. Esh Group has been a member since 2001. We have staff representation on both Yorkshire & Humber and North East Regional boards and are proud to have won BITC’s National Education Partnership Award twice.
The CBI is the UK’s most influential business organisation, providing members with the influence, insight and access they need. Esh Group is a national member. We have direct access to the CBI’s policymakers, whose purpose is to deliver a healthy environment for businesses to succeed, create jobs and prosper. The CBI has an office in both our operational areas, while we have staff representation at both construction sector and main regional boards.
The Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) is the representative body for civil engineering contractors — for companies who work day-to-day to deliver, upgrade, and maintain the country’s infrastructure. We have been members for over 10 years and have staff representation on regional leadership groups. We are proud to have won several local and national CECA awards for our schemes and engagement in local communities.
Constructing Excellence members use theme groups and forums to explore key issues that are impacting the construction and built environment to drive change. Esh Group was instrumental in setting up Construction Excellence and has been a regional member since 2004. Through our membership, we have regular opportunities to share, learn from and network with other members. We have regional staff representation at main board and committee level and are proud to have won several Constructing Excellence Awards.
