Quantity Surveyor - (Closing date - 31/10/2024)
Overall Objective:
The commercial management of contracts specific to the sector.
Key Accountabilities:
• Build working relationships with supply chain, consultants, and clients where appropriate.
• Procurement of sub-contractors in line with target programme and company policy
• Contract administration of sub-contracts
• Timely and accurate assessment and payment of sub-contractors’ applications and issue of payment notifications to sub-contractor
• Measurement of quantities both on site and from drawings, where required
• Timely and accurate evaluation of variations/provisional sum expenditure and monitoring of the same
• Civils -Weekly direct labour & plant subcontractor payments if required
• Accurate production of internal valuations, sub-contract liabilities and cost value reconciliations in line with the Commercial reporting timetable
• Ensure good quality & accurate records are maintained
• Delay identification/notification/ in tandem with project team
• Effective change management in line with contract
• Manage and minimise non recoverable costs on projects
• Price and effectively agree all project variations

General responsibilities:

Experience & Qualifications:
• Relevant HND, Degree in Quantity Surveying, Built environment or equivalent, desirable
• Minimum of three years’ experience working on projects within construction sector
• Working knowledge of contract conditions such as NEC,JCT
• Proficient in the use of MS Office
• Appropriate CSCS card -desirable
• Valid Driving licence
