Overall Objective:

Leading a small squad undertaking general civil engineering/site duties and working in a supervisory manner as required.

Key Accountabilities:

Carry out various tasks as directed by the site management including but not limited to: -

  • Compound establishment and demobilisation
  • Kerb laying/paving
  • Duct installation
  • Drainage
  • Building of chambers
  • Concreting works
  • Minor earthworks
  • General site works
  • Maintaining daily and weekly records of works
  • Providing temporary site cover when necessary
  • Adhere to company absence reporting procedure
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Accept and help to train an Apprentice if required

General responsibilities:

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • Driving licence with a suitable towing category preferred
  • CSCS Gen ops or Supervisors card
  • SSSTS ideally but not a necessity
  • First Aid at Work ideally but not a necessity
  • NRASWA Operative ideally but not a necessity
  • Plant qualifications (Excavator below 10ton, roller, dumper, abrasive wheels etc)
