A £1 million investment is set to boost the energy efficiency and modernise over 150 homes in Stockton-on-Tees.
North of England Contractor, Esh Construction, has been appointed by Thirteen Group to carry out the work as part of its Capital Delivery Framework.
Residents in the Salters Lane estate in Stockton and the Humphreys estate in Thornaby will benefit from a range of improvements, including brand-new modern kitchens, energy efficient boilers, and upgraded windows and doors.
Additionally, the homes will benefit from enhanced loft insultation and LED lighting, making each home more comfortable but also more energy efficient – helping to reduce energy usage.
Esh Construction’s Framework Manager, Andrew Harrow, said: “We are delighted to be partnering up with Thirteen Group as part of its Capital Delivery Framework on another project – a £1 million investment to improve and maintain homes in the Stockton-on-Tees area.
“Since securing our place on the framework in 2023, we have delivered a number of refurbishment and upgrade schemes worth more than £18.7 million in total. Each scheme is led with a customer first approach, and we are committed to working with Thirteen to collectively improve homes for residents.”
Thirteen’s Investment Area Manager, Rubie Dixon-Lee, said: “We’re committed to investing in our customer’s homes and we’re pleased to be making these improvements, which will make a real difference to our customers.
“Our goal is to create modern, welcoming homes that our customers can be proud of, and we’re excited to be working with Esh Construction once again.”
The work is part of Thirteen’s £55 million investment plans, which has seen thousands of homes in the North East and Yorkshire benefit from home improvements over the past year. Completion is expected by summer 2025.
