Esh secures place on NEPO Retrofit and Decarbonisation framework

The award follows the recent launch of Esh’s dedicated retrofit solutions division.

Esh Construction has secured its place on a framework to deliver low carbon retrofit programmes in the residential and non-residential sectors across the North East.

Managed by the North East Procurement Organisation (NEPO), the Retrofit and Decarbonisation Works framework is a two-and-a-half-year agreement, with the option of a two-year extension.

Joining a selection of local and national contractors on the new framework, Esh has been successful under Lot 1 as a Retrofit and Decarbonisation Partner, and Lot 8 as an External Wall Insulation Installer, both for domestic and non-domestic properties.

The award comes just weeks after the launch of Esh Retrofit Solutions, a new division which specialises in delivering an all-inclusive approach to retrofit delivery. Esh is a TrustMark-accredited contractor and has acquired the knowledge and processes of the PAS2030 and PAS2035 standards as part of the accreditation process, both of which are required by the Government to be an eligible installer.

The new division is overseen by Head of Retrofit Solutions, Lisa Stafford, and strengthened by the expertise of Esh’s established refurbishment team, which is headed up by Operations Director, Colin Ford.

Lisa commented: “Securing a place on this framework is another significant milestone for our specialist retrofit division. The Government has outlined several key drivers behind improving the energy performance of residential and non-residential properties and there are huge targets to achieve in the coming years.

“We look forward to working alongside NEPO and its local authority partners to provide an overarching retrofit service, from initial assessment to design and installation, all of which supported by a retrofit coordination service and a PAS2030-accrediated supply chain.”
