Esh Construction’s civil engineering division has launched a Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) Approved Development Scheme after its application to become a CICES Approved Development Partner was successful.
The accreditation will allow Esh to provide a structured training programme for graduates and trainees that are interested in pursuing a career in quantity surveying and commercial management, as well as experienced team members that would like to demonstrate their competencies with a globally recognised status.
The CICES is the leading international professional body for specialists in geospatial engineering and commercial management in infrastructure.
Vince Courtney, Commercial Director at Esh Construction, said: “Achieving Approved Development Partner status demonstrates Esh’s commitment to continuing professional development (CPD) and enhances our offering to current and future employees.
“CICES membership provides additional support to employees throughout their training, through access to knowledge sharing, networking and regional CPD events, and it will allow individuals to demonstrate a high level of competence in their field, in turn strengthening the service we provide to our clients.”
Staff within the civils commercial team will be invited to a CICES membership briefing where they will be informed about the scheme and the support they will receive if they choose to pursue a membership.
Courtney added: “The scheme will ensure current and future trainees and graduates within our commercial team can become Graduate, Affiliate or Associate Members and follow a structured route towards the next appropriate member status, while our experienced team members can work towards becoming Technical Members or Members depending on their current level of experience.
“We already have seven colleagues that are keen to take up membership and we look forward to supporting them throughout their journey.”
