Esh Construction secures place on YORcivil3 framework

Esh has been appointed to Lots 1, 2 and 3 for civil engineering contracts worth up to £10 million.

A leading framework provider for civil engineering projects across Yorkshire and the Humber has appointed Esh Construction to its newest framework agreement.

The YORcivil3 framework, managed by YORhub, is designed for local authorities and public sector organisations to procure civil engineering contracts worth up to £10 million.

Esh Construction’s civil engineering division has been successful on Lots 1, 2 and 3, which include projects across all areas of the Yorkshire region. The north and east regions are led by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, and the south and west areas are led by Sheffield City Council.

Steven Garrigan, Divisional Director at Esh Construction, said: “Securing our place on the YORcivil3 framework builds on the success of our work on the two previous frameworks, YORcivil1 and YORcivil2.

“This is a further boost for our growth in the region with £15 million of new projects secured in Yorkshire since the start of the year. This has doubled the pipeline from the same time last year, in turn allowing us to double the delivery team in the region.”

Since securing a place on the YORcivil2 framework in 2017, Esh has been awarded more than £26.7 million of projects through the procurement route, including the M181 Northern Junction in Scunthorpe for North Lincolnshire Council, public realm schemes surrounding Bridlington’s Gypsey Race watercourse for East Riding of Yorkshire Council, and flood alleviation schemes in Cottingham, Whitby and Filey.

“Throughout our time on the YORcivil2 framework, we have donated more than £62,000 to economic regeneration projects within the region through the YOR4Good Fund community grant initiative. We have engaged over 3,100 school students, delivered 450 days of work experience and 185 apprentice weeks.

“Each construction project has allowed us to deliver real social value and economic benefits across the region and we look forward to continuing this fantastic work across all future YORcivil3 schemes.”
