Esh Construction secures place on YORbuild3 Medium Works framework

The framework is designed for new build and refurbishment schemes, as well as housing developments over 25 units.

A leading framework provider for construction projects across Yorkshire and the Humber has appointed Esh Construction to its latest framework agreement.

Managed by YORhub, the YORbuild3 Medium Works framework is designed for new build and refurbishment schemes valued between £4m and £10m, and for new housing over 25 units.

Joining a selection of contractors, Esh has been successful on both lots, which include projects across the east region and the west region. The east region is led by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, and the west region led by Leeds City Council.

Esh’s Pre-Construction Director, Alistair Gill, said: “Securing a place on this framework is a notable achievement for Esh and builds on the success of our work on the two previous frameworks, YORbuild1 and YORbuild2.

“Our ethos and core values align with that of YORhub. Each construction project has allowed us to deliver real social value and economic benefits across the region by supporting employment and skills, donating funding to community projects and employing a local supply chain. We look forward to continuing this fantastic work across all future schemes.”

YORbuild3 will replace the existing YORbuild2 frameworks which expire in August 2022. Esh is currently on site delivering several schemes which were procured via YORbuild2, including, the extension of King James School in Huddersfield and Leeds West Academy, as well as new build housing developments in Barnsley and Sheffield.

The new framework is aligned with the Construction Playbook and offers several improvements, such as, greater emphasis on collaboration including earlier supplier involvement, extended use of Modern Methods of Construction where appropriate and support for increased carbon reduction.

Our ethos and core values align with that of YORhub. Each construction project has allowed us to deliver real social value and economic benefits across the region by supporting employment and skills, donating funding to community projects and employing a local supply chain. We look forward to continuing this fantastic work across all future schemes.”
