The appointment of senior positions is part of Esh’s core aims to restructure and develop key areas of the business by investing in experienced professionals that will drive the company into the future.
Andrew Schofield and Clynt Hiscoe both joined from GMI Construction where they worked for over 20 years each. Andrew joins as operations manager, while Clynt has been appointed as contracts manager. Both are excited to bring their industry insight and strategic approach to work on the major projects Esh currently has in the pipeline, including the Ironworks scheme in Leeds.
Jonathan Buttle joins the team from STG Group, where he worked for 20 years as a senior estimator. He joins Esh in the same role and said: “I was looking for a role that allowed me to work on a variety of projects that differ in both size and sector. This role does that.”
Other senior appointments included Damian Hood, who joins from Wates as a senior planner. Neil Widdowson takes up the role as managing quantity surveyor, and will use experience gained from his last role at Sir Robert McAlpine, while Gerrard Owens has been appointed as senior quantity surveyor after his last role at Graham.
Owen Blaney starts as technical manager following a decade at Kier. Owen brings with him experience across sectors spanning from health and wellbeing to custodial, retail and major commercial developments. He said: “I have joined Esh Construction at an exciting time and look forward to contributing to the growth and vision of the company.”
