Civils Planner - (Closing Date - 30/10/2024)
Overall Objective:
Maintaining Programme and leading Planning Function across a number of Projects and supporting with Tendering potential schemes.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Appropriate Qualification – HNC/Degree, etc
- Minimum 5 years’ Experience within Civil Engineering - preferably Site based Experience
- Good IT Skills
- Experienced user of Microsoft Project. Some knowledge of Asta Powerproject & Primavera P6
- CSCS card – minimum White Card.
- Experience Planning a range of Civil Engineering Schemes - values £100K - £10m
- UK driving licence, Clean or low on points

Technical:

Programme & Progress:
- Can devise a Level 4 Tender Programme with associated Phasing Plans, Methodology & answer Quality Questions
- Works to Standard Production Outputs and/or goes back to First Principles in developing Programmes
- Works with Project Team to ensure programme sequence, constraints and key dates are understood
- Maintains a realistic Cl32 Programme with accurate logic, constraints, calendars, outputs, correctly progressed
- Maintains & Updates an Accurate Programme Register
- Manages the Cl32 Programme Submission & Acceptance Process
- Has a good understanding of Contract Requirements for Programme (NEC Cl31,32 and Cl)
- Develops Cl62 impact Programmes for issue with Compensation Events
- Attends both Internal & External Project Meetings providing Programme and Planning Insight
Commercial:
- Has an understanding of commercial reporting requirements
- Has received training in forms of Contract (NEC/JCT) and understands planners’ responsibilities
- Can confidently assist in production of variations and quotations
- Can identify Risks and Opportunities and communicates in Monthly reports to management
Record Keeping/Progress Reporting:
- Attends weekly internal meetings
- Attends client Progress meetings
- Produces Monthly Programme Reporting Dashboard
- Produces Narrative with each revision of the Contract Programme
Quality:
- Can Provide Programme Presentations of Cl32 and Cl62 both Internally & to Client using PowerPoint
- Has an understanding of Sector QA and demonstrates buy in by compliance
Customer, Client and People Skills:
- Can adapt their communication style to suit colleagues/client and customer
- Can communicate programme related issues to the Client in various formats
