Trainee Assistant Site Manager - (Closing date - 11/07/2025)

Overall Objective:

To assist in the completion of high-quality work, whilst adhering to all programme deadlines and complying with all Health and Safety working practices and legislation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assist the Assistant/Site Manager in carrying out their responsibilities
  • Assist with opening and closing the site
  • Assist with site inductions
  • Assist the Subcontractors and assist the Site Manager in programming of works
  • Working with the Assistant/Site Manager to supervise all subcontract trades
  • Assist the Assistant/Site Manager in the coordination of subcontractors and material deliveries ensuring an efficient build
  • Assist with scheduling to ensure targets are met and a high quality is achieved
  • Assist in ensuring all working methods are performed correctly and to a high standard
  • Assist the Assistant/Site Manager in completing all required paperwork including, updates, Health and Safety, environmental, material returns
  • Comply with Esh policies, procedures, and instructions
  • Assist in implementing any new ideas / methods and seek ways of improving contributions to the organisation’s goals ensuring the reputation of the company
  • Liaise with our client’s representatives to ensure highest possible satisfaction and all relevant inspections are completed on time

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Ideally 1 year experience of site-based activities
  • Minimum of 4 GCSEs grade C or level 4 and above, plus 1 A Level, or 2AS Levels (40 points) or BTEC National in a relevant construction/engineering qualification or T-Level or an equivalent qualification
