Senior Tender Planner - (Closing date - 02/05/2025)

Overall Objective:

Produce professional tender programmes with associated construction methodologies as well as supporting the Bid Manager with written quality responses.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Appropriate Civil Engineering Qualification (HNC / Degree etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years’ site leadership experience within Civil Engineering
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Project (Primary) and Primavera P6 (Secondary)
  • Experience planning a range of Civil Engineering Schemes - values £0.5m - £10m
  • UK driving licence
  • Good IT Skills

Key Accountabilities:

  • Thorough review of tender documentation to determine key information, e.g. project constraints which provide the foundation for tender programmes
  • Attendance at site visits to ensure full understanding of proposed schemes
  • Meetings with subcontractors, designers and stakeholders to ensure accurate programme allowances, driving best value and innovative proposals
  • Produce well-constructed and considered logic linked tender programmes built from first principle planning, with defined critical path and resource allocation 
  • Produce phasing plans, traffic management plans and methodology diagrams to support tender reviews and quality questions
  • Liaise with the Bid/Technical Manager and tender teams and play a part in the successful conclusion of each tender opportunity
  • Attend tender settlements and present the programme, preliminaries and logistical aspects 
  • Produce labour and plant schedules that reflect the nature of each individual project
  • Contribute to the risk and opportunity schedule
  • Confidence in attending Client interviews, mid tender briefings etc
  • Advise site team and/or senior management of areas of concern
  • Develop skills of other planning staff
