Burchester Court is a three-storey building comprising 60 extra care apartments, all with accessible and open plan living space and substantial bedrooms. Each apartment boasts a private front door, a contemporary kitchen and a stylish bathroom with level access shower area. There is 24-hour on-site care, the Garden City café, a hair and beauty salon, lounges and gardens for socialising, as well as a guest suite for family or friends to stay overnight.

An 80,000ft2 steel portal warehouse shell was constructed and encompassing office accommodation, welfare facilities, 100-space car and HGV park. All external hard and soft landscaping works were completed, as well as necessary flood alleviation works.

White Rose Centre Refurbishment
A vacant store in The White Rose Centre is being transformed into a brand-new home for Marks and Spencer. Previously occupied by Debenhams, the store will undergo extensive re-modelling works to provide space for a 15,000 sq ft M&S Foodhall, as well as a café, clothing and home departments. The scheme includes structural alterations, demolition work, escalator and lift removal, and refurbishment of the internal layout. While the front elevation will boast an upgraded full height glazed entrance.

Cypress Point & St George’s Re-Cladding
Two high-rise residential buildings in Leeds underwent works to replace cladding following the introduction of new regulations. St George’s Building and Cypress Point had High Pressure Laminate (HPL) cladding and wooden decking on the balconies removed and replaced.

Student Cribs (Lot 1)
Refurbishment works were delivered in 198 student rooms split across accommodation blocks within Jesmond, Fenham and Heaton. Internal works included kitchen and bathroom replacement, structural works, installation of new flooring and decoration. Externally, pointing and roof works were undertaken.

T.H.E Hub at New College Durham
A two-storey extension was constructed at New College Durham to provide a learning space for the delivery of higher and technical level skills qualifications. The building includes adaptable spaces and technologies, making it more flexible for different educational delivery needs. A glazed central atrium forms the ‘heart of the building’ and features work and breakout zones, while specialist spaces for healthcare qualifications, and digital and science labs are spread across the two floors.

Hebburn Tri Station
Hebburn Tri Station will be the first of its kind in the country to be carbon neutral. The state-of-the-art hub will feature staff accommodation, appliance bays for emergency vehicles and a free-standing training building. Externally, charging points will be installed with a view to all three services having a fleet of electric vehicles.
The station will become home to Tyne and Wear Fire Rescue, alongside teams from Northumbria Police and North East Ambulance Service.

A two-storey extension was constructed to include four new classrooms, a larger learning resource area, toilet block and store room. The scheme also included full building redecoration, creation of new roof lights and installation of fire alarms and intruder alarms.

The former elderly day centre, Waterton House, underwent re-modelling and refurbishment to create new office accommodation for Wakefield Council. Works included; asbestos removal, structural alterations, removal of masonry walls and general refurbishment works.

An eye-catching extension was constructed to the roof of the Leeds College of Music Building. The extension provides the existing concert venue with breakout space, a new lounge bar, dedicated catering areas and state-of-the-art technical equipment.

The Buttery
The Buttery building was refurbished and extended to create a Postgraduate Student Hub which features collaborative workspaces, social space, quiet study zones, media booths and digital facilities. The project restored the building’s heritage features - parquet flooring, exposed brickwork, timber beams and trusses were revived, while the addition of mezzanine levels maximised space.
