Transforming Pelton with Affordable Housing
A £25 million development of 104 new affordable homes in Pelton is being delivered by Esh Construction on behalf of Karbon Homes, transforming the former Roseberry Sports Community College site.
The scheme includes 52 rent-to-buy homes, alongside 31 apartments and eight bungalows designed for over 50s.
Backed by Karbon’s £165 million strategic partnership with Homes England, the development contributes to a wider goal of building 2,200 affordable homes by 2028.
The site is designed to meet top energy standards, where all homes will achieve EPC ‘A’ ratings and feature solar panels, EV charging points, and air source heat pumps. Apartments will benefit from a communal green heating system, supporting sustainable living and reducing energy costs for residents.
