Ahead of this year’s Esh Factor Awards – held at our annual Group Get Together – a new category was introduced to celebrate the power of collaboration and teamwork, whether that be in the office or out on site. The Team of the Year Award recognises teams that stand out for the positive impact they have made together.
Not just one, but two teams were awarded on stage, in front of almost 400 colleagues for their commitment to working together to deliver a seamless and positive end result. Here, we take a look at why these teams stood out and what it means to them to be recognised by Esh’s senior leadership team.
First up on the stage was the Homes by Esh Sales Team, a team which has consistently delivered the sales forecast and customer care target over several years, demonstrating a unique commitment to Esh and its ‘Push the Standard’ culture.
Colin Willetts, Deputy Managing Director at Homes by Esh, said: “Winning the Team of the Year Award is a total honour for myself and the team. We take pride in putting Esh’s values at the heart of everything we do, working collaboratively to deliver the highest levels of customer service. I’m extremely proud that the team has been recognised for their dedication and hard work.”
The results speak for themselves, and the relationships they have developed with customers have had a direct impact on the team’s success. Their ‘recommend to solicitors’ score improved from an already impressive 69% to 73% in 2025, alongside the mortgage broker introductions increasing from 38% to 49%. These recommend scores are vital in achieving legal completions to a high standard and on time.
A strong sales performance continued in 2025, with the team surpassing its forecast and building on the success achieved in previous years.
“We strive to be flexible with our customers, working hours that will benefit them to ensure we meet their needs, as we understand the difference that quick responses make when delivering sales for the business” added Colin.
A strong culture of learning and development runs throughout the team, with senior advisors sharing their knowledge and expertise with those who are in the early stages of their career. This collaborative approach helps trainees develop their skills while supporting the team’s commitment to growing talent from within.
Their recognition doesn’t just stem internally. Feedback from an external stakeholder explained: “The team is exceptionally coordinated, knowledgeable about their products, and consistently approachable. They communicate effectively with us, and their commitment to both clients and colleagues is evident.
“They routinely go above and beyond to ensure a seamless transaction. As a team, they are faultless. I thoroughly enjoy working alongside them and could not ask for a better new-build sales team. We receive numerous messages from clients about what a wonderful experience they’ve had from reservation to completion.”
