Works are currently underway to improve hundreds of homes across Middlesbrough, where Esh Construction is working in partnership with Thirteen Group through a major £3.3 million investment, forming part of Thirteen’s Capital Delivery Framework.

Phase two of the project has now been completed, with works actioned on 164 properties.

Phase three has recently commenced and will see windows and doors replaced in a further 442 properties, helping to improve home security, energy efficiency and the overall condition of properties across the estate.

Andrew Harrow, Operations Director at Esh Construction, said: “Delivering high-quality improvements that make a positive difference for residents is central to our approach, and we're proud to be working alongside Thirteen on this programme. The completion of phase two marks another important milestone in helping to improve existing homes and support Thirteen's commitment to providing safe, comfortable and sustainable places to live."

The investment from Thirteen is designed to ensure customers continue to live in safe, warm and comfortable homes, while enhancing the appearance and condition of properties.

Rubie Dixon-Lee, Investment Area Manager at Thirteen Group, said: "We're committed to investing in our homes and communities so our customers can live in homes that are safe, secure and comfortable.

"The new windows and doors will make a real difference for hundreds of households in Saltersgill, helping to keep homes warmer, more secure and more energy efficient.

"It's great to see the second phase of work completed and the next stage now underway."

The project is expected to be complete by spring 2027, and forms part of Thirteen’s wider £63 million investment programme, which is improving thousands of homes across the North East and Yorkshire this year.
