Your Questions Answered

A work placement is a short-term opportunity for students or individuals to gain real-life experience in the construction industry. It gives you a taste of what it’s like to work on-site or in an office-based role.

Work placements are available for school, college and university students, or anyone exploring a career change. You must be at least 14 years old, though some roles have a 16+ age restriction.

Placements typically last from one week to 45-days (T Level), depending on your availability and the focus of your work experience. We also accommodate summer and year out placement opportunities for university students.

That's up to you! We offer a broad range of work placements. You could experience roles in construction management, civil engineering, site operations, health & safety, quantity surveying, technical design, as well as business support functions like administration and sustainability, to name a few.

Year out placements from university are paid, however most of the time, all other work placements are unpaid. But, you’ll gain valuable industry experience, site exposure, and insight into construction careers. We also provide the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and cover any essential site costs.
