Soldiers to Site is our tailored transition programme designed to support service leavers who may be considering a career in construction. The initiative offers hands-on, flexible industry experience that helps participants transfer their skills into a new sector with confidence.

Military personnel can access Soldiers to Site via the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) and will benefit from site and office-based work experience, covering areas such as civil engineering, construction management, trades, commercial, and professional services.

By immersing yourself in real project environments, we will help you discover roles that align with your existing strengths and skill sets and explore new career paths.

Partnership Working

Launchpad Charity

We work with the Launchpad Charity which offers homeless veterans’ accommodation, employability, mental health and rehabilitation services tailored to their personal needs. Our own veterans and reservists provide mentoring guidance, employment and careers advice in Launchpad accommodation in the North East.

Career Transition Partnership

All of our job vacancies are advertised via the Career Transition Partnership and Forces Families Jobs, ensuring visibility for service leavers and their families.

Reserve Forces and Cadets Association

The North of England Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (RFCA) is an arm’s-length body of the Ministry of Defence, dedicated to championing Reserve service and promoting the Cadet force. The RFCA engage with businesses and communities supporting recruitment, raising awareness of veterans’ needs for workforces, and helping deliver the Covenant across the North of England, of which Esh is a ‘Gold’ award holder.
