Who can apply for an apprenticeship?
Apprenticeships are open to anyone aged 16 and over. Whether you’re leaving school, changing careers, or looking to gain new qualifications - there’s no upper age limit.
Yes. All apprentices are paid a salary. This includes paid holidays, pension contributions, and access to our extensive range of company benefits.
How long does an apprenticeship last?
It depends on the level and type of apprenticeship. Most last between 12 months and 4 years, depending on the trade or qualification.
What qualifications will I gain, and where will I study?
You’ll gain industry-recognised qualifications, such as NVQs, diplomas, or even degree-level qualifications, depending on the apprenticeship route. We’ll help you choose the right provider from a range of Colleges and Universities across the North East, Tees Valley and Yorkshire.
Will I have a job at the end of the apprenticeship?
Our goal is to offer long-term employment to successful apprentices. 95% of our apprentices go on to secure full-time roles and build their careers with Esh.
What types of apprenticeships do we offer?
We offer a wide range - from construction trades like plant fitting, ground working, general operations and civil engineering, to office-based roles such as quantity surveying, project management, business and finance.

You’ll be supported by a dedicated mentor, your line manager and our apprenticeship team. We also offer wellbeing and mental health support throughout your journey and the opportunity to share your views and experiences with other apprentices through our forum.
Can I progress to further study after my apprenticeship?
Absolutely. Many apprentices go on to study higher-level qualifications and take on more responsibility. We’ll support you to build your career at Esh.
