About the role:

We are seeking a Site Manager to oversee the day to day delivery of civil engineering projects valued between £0.5m and £10m. The role involves full responsibility for a single project site, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. The Site Manager will report to the Contracts Manager and may operate independently or as part of a wider project team on larger schemes.

What we will expect from you:

  • Ensure full compliance with contractual requirements and Company Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems
  • Assess the environmental impact and risks connected to projects
  • Prepare and review risk assessments and method statements
  • Ensure technical compliance and the safety of all operational activities
  • Monitor progress against programme, take off and call off materials in advance of work
  • Prepare daily and weekly progress reports, variation reports for the scheme
  • Prepare detailed weekly lookahead programmes
  • Schedule and manage resources to deliver site works 
  • Provide accurate records and measurement details to enable the Quantity Surveyor to prepare monthly valuations
  • Support the planning, design and management of projects
  • Manage information flow and identify technical queries
  • Ensure exceptional levels of customer care
  • Be committed to achieving a high standard of Health and Safety in all its activities and ensuring compliance with all appropriate legislation
  • To participate in any identified training or development opportunities
  • To recognise the importance of fairness and equality in the workplace, to treat everyone with dignity and respect

Qualifications:

  • Computer literate, including Microsoft suit of applications
  • CSCS Site Supervisor (Gold)
  • 5 day Site Managers Safety Training Scheme certificate
  • Experience of civil engineering scheme of values £100k - £2million
  • First aid at work certificate desirable
  • Full clean UK driving licence
