The two-storey, diagnostic and treatment centre provides purpose built, modern, high quality premises specifically designed to cater for community renal dialysis and day surgery.
The facility is a first of its kind in the area with such specialist equipment under one roof which improves patient accessibility to facilities and helps alleviate pressures upon existing facilities.
The centre is located at Belmont and serves patients from the North Eastern areas of Durham and beyond. The location was chosen due to its proximity to the A1, making it easy to locate and access.
The treatment centre provides consultant and treatment rooms, as well as a large reception and waiting area which provides more space and comfort for patients.
The building maximises the use of natural light with the internals providing space for both staff and patients.
The facility is split so that dialysis and theatre accommodation are located on the first floor and the consulting, treatments, diagnostics and staff accommodation are located on the ground floor.
The floor layouts ensure future flexibility and the option of future change of use if required. Room sizes have been standardized and soundproofed to ensure that rooms are private, flexible and can be used for a variety of purposes.
North Moor House is located North of the market town, Northallerton.
The development will see the creation of a new central Community Mental Health Team base, which will provide both staff accommodation and clinical facilities for specialist community mental health services.
The hub will be accessed via the construction of a new road which directly junctions the Northallerton Link Road.
With a three, two and one step down design, the building aims for a contemporary 21st century interpretation and has been developed through consultation with service users, carers and clinical staff to become a ‘landmark building’.
The state-of-the-art crematorium is located on a 4.6-hectare site in a quiet and natural setting. Built to reflect the surrounding countryside, the design utilises wood and natural materials.
Internally, the ceiling height increase to give a greater sense of light and space.
The one-level building accommodates the chapel, entrance lobby, vestry, waiting area and working areas.
Externally, floral tribute areas and memorial gardens were created to provide a reflection space following the service.
An onsite car park provides 86 spaces and operates a one-way circulatory system, with a second route for the funeral cortege which has direct access to the front of the building.
The project delivered a purpose-built crematorium and cemetery. The building accommodates a waiting area, chapel, administration area, interview room, office, ministers' room and store.
Stockton Crematorium is constructed on open land that had previously been used as school playing fields. The modern single storey building includes two service chapels and is surrounded by landscaped remembrance gardens.
Within the building there are two chapel wings with lobby and chapel, small waiting area, accessible toilets and access to a courtyard garden. The design has ensured the two wings are separated by the committal area, crematory equipment and staff offices and facilities.
Externally there is a porte-cochere for each wing and landscaped gardens include a memorial garden, memorial wall and Gardens of Remembrance. Additional works included construction of a new access road and car park.
The new crematorium at Babworth offers state of the art facilities within landscaped gardens. The building has been designed to reflect the local character and to blend in with its rural surroundings.
The single-storey building consists of a 98-seat chapel, a waiting room, public toilets including accessible toilet, administrative offices, staff welfare facilities and crematory.
To the front of the building is a car park for 76 cars while to the rear is a small service yard and staff parking. Upon leaving the crematorium, footpaths lead to a floral tribute canopy and landscaped gardens which include a scattering lawn and a memorial area.
Bacchus House comprises the full refurbishment and re-modelling of existing office premises to deliver a much-improved space and environment for children and young people’s mental health services.
Built across two floors, the site will provide increased high-quality therapy areas and space for clinical activity, group work, and onsite training.
Middlehaven Gateway is a neuro-rehabilitation centre consisting of residential, therapeutic and rehabilitation facilities, along with community facilities and office spaces.
The project also delivered a number of houses and apartments to be used as 'move on' accommodation.
