Land of Oak and Iron


Land of Oak and Iron - £1.3m

The project comprised the construction a heritage centre located on the edge of a popular country park in Gateshead. The building design is the shape of a water wheel which was inspired by the iron works at 'Old' Winlaton Mill which harnessed the power from 9 water wheels.

The single storey centre uses traditional and interactive interpretation materials which explore and celebrate industrial, cultural and natural heritage of the Derwent Valley and surrounding area.

The untreated timber and green roof aids biodiversity and reduces pressures on the drainage system. Internally, the centre includes a café and gift shop, business incubator space, as well as networking and conference facilities.

Thirteen Group Headquarters


Thirteen Group Headquarters - £5.5m

Thirteen Group Headquarters comprises of two, three-storey wings either side of a central atrium.

The flexible, modern office space is open plan but designed to facilitate partitioning and is capable of sub-division to enable use by various occupiers.

Both onsite and offsite car parking facilities were including in the scheme.

Harbour Masters Office


Harbour Masters Office - £980k

Located next to the Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge, work was undertaken to refurbish and remodel a former Marine Fire Station.

Internal and external works transformed the building into new office accommodation together with a new Harbour Masters Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) facility.

Heart of the City 2


Heart of the City 2 - £884k

The Heart of the City scheme comprised the conversion of a large retail unit into 4 separate retail units. Modifications were undertaken to the glass frontage, providing each unit with their own entrance and back of house space.

Alterations to the existing heating, ventilation and plumbing installations were completed to accommodate the new layout.

Benfield Ford Showroom


Benfield Ford Showroom - £2.8m

The project involved the construction of a new access road, state-of-the-art showroom, workshop and site forecourt which houses over 80 cars.

Initial works provided a temporary showroom, valet bays, sales area and 10-bay workshop to enable trading to continue whilst the permanent showroom was constructed.



Logic - £3.9m

The scheme consisted of the construction of an 80,000ft2 steel portal warehouse shell encompassing office accommodation, welfare facilities and 100 space car and HGV park.

All external hard and soft landscaping works were completed, as well as necessary flood alleviation works.
