Reactive and Planned Maintenance, Northumberland

This contract involves 24/7 365 Reactive Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Minor Works and Projects over multiple trade disciplines made up of Building Fabric, Plumbing, Electrical and Statutory testing.

Building Fabric

Reactive Maintenance including brickwork, decoration, fencing, flooring, glazing, ground works, joinery, plastering, pest control, roofing, scaffolding, suspended ceilings, and tiling.


Planned and Reactive Maintenance including boilers, heating systems and catering equipment.


Planned and Reactive Maintenance including hot and cold water supply, leaking taps, supply pipe work, waste pipe work and sanitary ware.


Planned and Reactive maintenance including emergency lighting, office lighting, distribution boards, power sockets, lighting circuits and the Statutory Compliance aspects of general fixed wire testing.

Minor Work

Numerous minor works have been completed including boiler repairs, external drainage, internal and external decorations, office, classroom and kitchen refurbishments, re-roofing, plastered ceiling structural inspection and remedial repairs


During the summer and autumn of 2012 we are in the process of undertaking around £1m of reinstatement works in schools following the heavy floods. We have demonstrated a flexible and collaborative approach to these works in order to meet tight deadlines and allow schools to open for the new term.

We are also in the process of programming in the region of £1.2m of leisure departments refurbishment projects and further works at Ford Castle up to the value of approximately £0.8m. Numerous other projects have been successfully undertaken in recent years with high levels of customer satisfaction and demonstrating value for money.


This contract services over 800 Northumberland County Council properties across Northumberland. Properties vary in size and function including County Hall in Morpeth, Town Halls, Tourist Information Centres, Libraries, Parks, Residential Properties, Churches, Public Amenities, Fire Stations, Detention Centres, Highway Agencies, Schools and Sure Start Nurseries.
