NECTNorth East Construction Training was originally set up to support the Group's needs. NECT now also serves a wide range of clients in the construction sector and plays a key role in the Group’s bespoke Work-Related Learning programme, ‘Fit for Employment’.
NVQ / ApprenticesAll staff requiring CSCS accreditation undergo training (over and above time-served experience) to NVQ level 2 in order to qualify. In 2006 100% of employees are expected to be successful in acquiring the necessary qualification.
F4EOur pioneering Work Related Learning programme has delivered excellent results, over 40 young people have already taken up roles within the Group. Many others ‘aimed higher’ as a result of the programme which has received personal praise from the Prime Minister. Click here for more information
Personal DevelopmentOur people are our strength; we work hard to nurture and sustain them. For many, personal development is an aim in itself, aside from the demands of the construction sector which demands continual progression. Our rigorous Appraisal process feeds directly into our extensive training programme which covers all aspects from technical training to ‘soft skills’.
