Reactive and Planned Maintenance, Leeds

Since 2012 we have provided University of Leeds with a 24/7 365 Reactive Maintenance, Planned Maintenance, Minor Works and Projects over multiple trade disciplines made up of Building Fabric, Plumbing and Electrical.

Building Fabric

Reactive Maintenance including asbestos control, brickwork, decoration, drainage, fencing, flooring, glazing,  ground works, joinery, plastering, pest control, plumbing, roofing, scaffolding, suspended ceilings and tiling.

Plumbing

Planned and Reactive Maintenance including hot and cold water supply, leaking taps, supply pipe work, waste pipe work and sanitary ware.

Electrical

Planned and Reactive maintenance including fixed wire testing.

Minor Work

Numerous minor capital work schemes have been completed over the current contract period, including communal shower and en-suite refurbishments; communal kitchen refurbishments; re-configuration of existing office layouts; electrical up-grades; external drainage, resurfacing and road marking works; internal and external decorations, fire door and window upgrades, steel fabrication works; roofing; suspended ceilings and external rendering.

Projects

The largest project to date valued at £100K involved the complete refurbishment and electrical grade of the en-suite showers and communal kitchens to a halls of residence.

This was a HSE Notifiable scheme which we acted as Principal Contractor, co-ordinating all site based activities including the attendance of  Nominated Contractors

The works were carried out during the summer holidays to ensure no disruption to University staff and reduce the risks to students.

Locations

This contract currently services All the University of Leeds residential and commercial properties off the Main Campus; as well as their Farm Research Facilities in Tadcaster

During this period our scope of works has been extended to include corrective maintenance and minor capital works schemes to academic buildings  on the Main Campus

We have established a satellite office within the existing geographical area of the University of Leeds, this gives us a presence on site at all times and an even quicker response time to emergencies.
