Overall Objective

To provide various general landscaping duties as required working safely and efficiently

Key Accountabilities

  • Complete and undertake the following tasks in a timely and effective manner:
    o Grass Cutting
    o Turfing
    o Seeding
    o Planting
  • Liaise with colleagues, Contract Supervisor or Site Manager as required for each task.
  • Ensure a polite and courteous behaviour towards customers, clients and members of the public at all times.
  • Submit weekly production reports to Contract Supervisors or Director for authorisation.
  • Maintain high standard of customer service when conducting tasks.
  • Ensure colleagues’ and supervisors are informed of progress on key tasks.
  • Complete the apprenticeship framework in line with individual learning plan.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 GCSE’s A – C or equivalent including maths and English desirable.
  • Full valid UK driving licence desirable.

  • Legible handwriting.
  • Willing and eager to learn.

Entry Conditions

  • Although there are generally no laid down minimum requirements or previous experience requirements to undertake this apprenticeship within the Esh Group, this apprenticeship is likely to be suitable for individuals who:
  • Have evidence of work experience, including volunteering, within the sector
  • Have an interest in working outdoors
  • Enjoy working with plants or are interested in maintaining grounds
